Measure return after the costs that matter.
Keep marketing ROI and advertising ROAS separate. Enter attributed revenue, direct delivery costs and the full marketing cost you want included in the calculation.

What this ROI calculation includes
Marketing cost is advertising spend plus other marketing costs. Contribution before marketing is attributed revenue minus direct delivery costs. Net contribution after marketing is that contribution minus the marketing cost.
Marketing ROI = net contribution after marketing ÷ marketing cost × 100. ROAS = attributed revenue ÷ advertising spend. ROAS does not subtract delivery costs or the other marketing expenses.
Keep attribution consistent
Revenue attribution is an input, not something this calculator verifies. A positive result does not prove that marketing caused all the entered revenue. Use the same attribution window, currency and accounting period for every input.
If advertising spend is zero, ROAS is undefined. ROI can still be calculated when other marketing cost is positive. The result excludes fixed business overhead and taxes unless those costs are explicitly included in your inputs.
This tool processes your inputs in your browser. It does not upload them or keep a server-side input history.
